What actually affects your price

Six things drive the number on your quote. Knowing them helps you understand why a neighbor's windshield cost different from yours.

Damage type & size

A repairable chip under a dollar bill costs a fraction of a full replacement. Long cracks or edge damage usually mean replacement.

Year, make & model

Glass part cost scales with vehicle value. A 2024 luxury SUV's windshield costs far more than a 2012 commuter sedan's.

Glass features

Acoustic laminate, heated wiper rest, rain sensor, head-up display, and tinted bands each raise the part cost.

ADAS recalibration

If your windshield hosts a camera, lane-keep or auto-brake sensor must be recalibrated after replacement.

Mobile vs. shop

We come to you across Pierce & Snohomish counties. Mobile dispatch is included — no upcharge for coming to your driveway.

Insurance vs. cash

With comprehensive coverage you typically pay only your deductible — sometimes $0 for chip repair.

Using insurance

If you carry comprehensive coverage, you typically pay only your deductible — and many Washington policies waive the deductible entirely for chip repair.

  • We verify your coverage and file the claim
  • Rock-chip repair often $0 out of pocket
  • A glass claim rarely raises your premium

Safety tech

ADAS recalibration — why it matters, what it costs

If your windshield holds a camera for lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, or adaptive cruise, that camera must be recalibrated after the glass is replaced. Skipping it can leave your safety systems misaligned.

Static recalibration

Sensors are adjusted to fixed targets in a controlled bay. It needs less driving but a precise, level setup.

Dynamic recalibration

The vehicle is driven on a defined road so sensors adjust in motion, using targets and cameras to gather accurate data.

Typical cost: $150 – $600 depending on procedure type. It is frequently bundled into an insurance-covered replacement.
